Kirk R. Hesch is a self taught illustration artist who grew up in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan with his parents and two sisters.

In 2000 Kirk moved to Calgary, Alberta where he now lives with his wife Melissa and their daughter Teja. A journeyman power lineman, Kirk is employed by Calgary’s largest utility

company. Working above soaring power poles overlooking the Calgary cityscape, Kirk continues to be inspired by athletic and urban movements.

In his drawings, Kirk captures icons and everyday people evoking memories and moments that will forever be etched in our minds.
